Strengths and challenges of the policies for Roma in Spain, Barcelona, 16-17 October 2014
The event organized in the Parliament of Catalonia was articulated around 3 thematic panels, each one addressing a particular element of the main topic: 1)Strengths and challenges of the Spanish model for the inclusion of the Gitano population,2)Roma from other EU members states in the policies of the Spanish State and 3)Bridging the gap between social research and policies targeting the Roma population. The workshop hosted a total of 64 attendees including international scholars, representatives from civil society organisations, regional authorities, and representatives from local administrations, the Spanish Ministry for Social Services and FRA. The event is part of a series of workshops funded by the RAN within the framework of the call for proposals for Bridging the Gap between Academia and Policy Makers.
