Academic profile

My current research concerns intercultural education with a special focus on the school situation of the Romani minority, especially linguistic and cultural revitalisation processes in educational contexts. This research is mainly done in co-operation with Romani teachers in projects with methods inspired by action research. My second research area is related to national self-awareness, national minorities and intercultural learning processes among student teachers. I am also currently leading a two year Romani mediator course together with a Romani teacher at Södertörn University for mediators working in different schools in the country.
