Academic profile
I am interested in explaining the possibilities for Romani politics in post ’89 Romania at the junction of mainstream politics, everyday life experiences, institutional practices towards Roma, and discursive framings of Roma in newspapers, public policies and academic production. I carried out research in a large urban Roma community in Romania, in archives in Romania and Open Society Archives in Budapest, in Romani organizations in Romania and Bruxelles, and an international network of grassroots organizations.
