Academic profile
The main reason I am studying human rights is because I want to learn how to use the gained knowledge and skills as a tool for bringing social change and justice to the society I live in. Human rights is a multi-disciplinary subject, but my focus is primarily on minority rights, specifically on Roma rights. I am very much interested in the correlation between human rights law in principles, policies and practice. Unfortunately, human and Roma rights might be perfectly provisioned in human rights treaties and different types of legally binding documents (charters, directives, conventions, etc.); however they are full of gaps in practice. Therefore, I try to look into the gaps and possibilities for bridging them together with those concerned, i.e. government stakeholders, civil actors and end-users (different communities).
