Academic profile

Emanuela Ignatoiu-Sora is a post-doctorate researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She has defended her thesis in 2010 on The construction of a legal regime for the Roma, at European University Institute, Florence, Italy. She has published a book on The principle of equality and non-discrimination in the case-law of the European Court of Justice (Beck Publishing House, 2008). She has recently published an article on Discrimination Discourse in relation to the Roma: its Limits and Benefits (Ethnic and Racial Studies, 34 (10): 1697-1714). Her expertise covers areas such as: Romani studies, Minority Rights, Human Rights, European Union Law.
