Academic profile
I have been working since 2007 with the kalderash roma of Mexico, and the research has been always orientated to describe and analyze the phenomenon of the conversion to the Pentecostalism and the changes in their social organization.
In this research line I have established some comparisons between the roma Mexican phenomenon of conversion and others, such as the ones in France, Spain and Portugal.
At the same time, because the absence of almost any kind of academic work with the Mexican roma, i have been writing in my MA thesis parts of their history, their economical practices, traditions and mobility.
After finishing mi present work of thesis, I would like to research a social situation that happens in Mexico, that is, the extortion to some part of the roma people here, that have been related to other roma families. This conflict has originated some murders and migration of completes families to the United States.
