Brief introduction

I am a recent summa cum laude PhD graduate from Public Policy Department in Central European University. I worked on numerous international and interdisciplinary research projects managed by Open Society Institute, European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, Roma Education Fund and EPIC Employment Services. I have been invited to give seminars in Belgium, UK, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary. I routinely provide consultancy services to grassroots and international organizations working on Roma issues, migration and social inclusion. While at CEU I ran full-fledged introductory courses on Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations in the Roma Access Program. In addition, I designed various youth workshops in Canada, role-playing seminars for public workers in Poland and Slovakia and applied social science field visits in Hungary. These activities allowed me to develop multiple teaching modalities centered on critical analysis of theoretical concepts, interactive lectures, and practice-based workshops.

Education

PhD in Political Science, 2015 Central European University

Academic profile

My scholarly interests range widely, from European integration and regulatory frameworks to issues and policies concerning social exclusion, migration and participatory governance.   The PhD thesis combines these interests and provides an innovative perspective on understanding the implementation of EU Structural Funds for socio-economic inclusion.  The comparative study measures the effectiveness and legitimacy of European cohesion policy by analyzing policy instruments, institutional norms and interactions in the multilevel system of governance.
