Academic profile
My professional affiliation is connected with research on diaspora communities, ethnic identity and ethnic processes, labor migrations in Central and East Europe. The Roma are main object of my research work since my student years.
I have experience in study on heterogeneity and identity of the Roma communities in Bulgaria and Romania, labor migrations from Bulgaria to Cyprus, Poland and Turkey over the past two decades. I am using a historic-ethnographic methodology in my research work.
The results of my examinations can be found in my publications and field archive materials (reports, linguistic tests, photos, etc.)
My current position in IEFSEM-BAS and participation in different academic projects is connected also with educational and expert work, attendance at different seminars, roundtables and conferences.
