Academic profile

I am interested in particular research on the Roma in Slovakia. Priority to the living conditions of Roma in marginalized Roma communities. Issues related to the economic situation of these communities (culture of poverty), their cultural characteristics, social and cultural structure. I am interested also questions the status of Roma in mainstream society, their social and political participation as well as questions focused on the presentation of this community in the majority society. In addition, interested in the history of the Roma in Slovakia and Ukraine, especially in the recent past. All these questions I am interested in the broader social sciences (especially cultural and anthropological) context.
