Academic profile
My main interest lies in the qualitative research of Roma health and its intersections with gender, sexuality and population politics. Specifially, I examine men and women's reproductive health and decision-making in poor Romani settlements from the perspective of critical medical anthropology and gender anthropology.
In addition to several short-term field researches among Roma, in 2010 I conducted a ten-month fieldwork research on the above topic in a large Romani slum in East-Slovakia.
