The 4^th meeting of the Scientific Committee has been organised in Brussels on December 13-14, 2012. The meeting had the following purposes;

1. To welcome the extended Scientific Committee including the two new members elected by the associated members;
2. Present the Network to the invited officials and representatives of European Commission, and engage the SC members in dialogue with them;
3. To oversee the progress of the network activities since the meeting in June 2012;
4. To discuss and plan the activities for the second project cycle, starting in summer 2013.

The meeting is planned to last one and a half days. The first afternoon is planned to be dedicated to meetings with officials from relevant services of the European Commission (14:00-18:00), discussing interactivity and enhancing networking between the Academic Network and the EU. The second day will be dedicated to the projects’ other key concerns and be organised in two work sessions (9:00-13:00, 14:00-17:00).
