Academic profile

My domains of academic interest are the language (spoken dialects, bilingualism and multilingualism, code switching, language contact, etc.), folklore, identity and social organization of the Bayash Roma in the Balkans, as well as their migration patterns. I have carried out extensive fieldwork in the Bayash communities all over Serbia, as well as in Croatia and Bulgaria, and wrote several studies on the language of the Bayash in Croatia, the possibilities of creating an explanatory Bayash dictionary in Serbia, the identity of the Bayash in Serbia, the gurban custom among the Bayash in Serbia, the Bayash migrants in Paris, etiological legends of the Bayash in the Balkans, the Gypsy Court among the Bayash in Hungary, Croatia and Serbia, etc.
