Academic profile
Interests: In my thesis I intend to explore the types and forms of attack and opposition that researchers violating and not accepting the norms of the scientific community may face from the defenders of „normal science”. This issue is discussed through the analysis of a debate triggered by a sociological research on the origins of Roma segregation in Hungary that provoked highly emotional responses. In this case study, I illustrate what part prejudice in the social scientific community may play in the acceptance of new scientific results.
Research expertise: sociological, empirical researches – see my CV.
