Academic profile

My main research interest is the survival strategies of the Roma and ethnic relations in different domains of social life (including administrative representation, such as the school and health mediators). I am also interested in the education of Roma children and the way school desegregation was implemented in Romania. Since I graduated the MA courses, I took part in several international research projects (eg. EU Inclusive – Data Transfer and experiences Regarding the Integration of Roma in Romania, Bulgaria, Italy and Spain), realised individual projects (eg.Educational Measures for the Roma Minority in Romania. The Effectiveness of Integrated and Segregated Education) or coordinated and organised international summer universities and conferences. My topics of research include the survival strategies of rural Roma communities, including migration; education of Roma children; ethnic conflicts related to Roma; administrative representation of the Roma.
