CFA: ‘Policies for Roma inclusion: The contribution of academic research’

Grants to attend the event on ‘Policies for Roma inclusion: The contribution of academic research’ at the Council of Europe on 22 April 2015.

Main objective

The European Academic Network on Romani Studies is offering up to 20 travel grants on a first come first served basis. Members of the Network are invited to submit applications for the final showcase event on ‘Policies for Roma inclusion: The contribution of academic research’ at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 22 April 2015 (see the program annexed). The aim of these grants is to enable and encourage members interested and experienced in the topic addressed by the event to attend and actively contribute to the discussions and the success of this event.

Priorities

The main target group for these grants is members of the Network who have contributed previously to the topic of the event. Potential participants are expected to engage actively in the discussions of the event and critically contribute to the success of the debates.

Eligibility

Grants are offered on the following conditions:

a) applicant should be member of the network;

b) he/she should have experience in the topic addressed;

c) the applicant should demonstrate that he/she is willing to make a contribution to the success of the event by sending short letter of intent (1 page max).

 Procedure

Applications should be sent to the secretary before 28 February 2015. They will be checked for eligibility and awarded grants on a first come first served basis. The applicants will be notified within a week and in the case of awarding the grant they will be offered support in the form of reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses following the event, upon presentation of the supporting documents.

Deadline

Applications should be sent to the Secretary of the Network by 28 February 2015 the latest.

Checklist

Please make sure that you have submitted the following documents:

  • Completed application form;
  • A short motivation letter (1 page max);
  • Other supporting documents; such as the list of relevant contributions to the domain.
